Thor’s Day

Hello Troop 184 Families!

We’ve arrived at Thursday of week 2, or, as Mr. Dunton reminds us, it is Thor’s Day. That makes sense that today is named for the God of Thunder, since we’ve now been hit with lots of rain and some thunder.

Even though this week started out really hot and humid, some scouts prefer that to rain. Personally, I like the milder temps that rain brings. To each his own, I guess.

Merit badge classes have been going well this week. Lots of variety in the merit badge selections, which is a good thing. It’s especially nice to see the scouts embrace the diversity of merit badges offered, and take a class they may not have ordinarily been interested in.

Now that we’re about at the end of camp, we’ll be starting to break things down in camp. Tomorrow will be the big push so that we can all be ready to vacate on Saturday morning. I think that after two weeks, everyone is ready to go home (I know I am).

Overall, this was yet another successful summer camp experience. The scouts seemed to have a good time, and a lot of good stuff was accomplished.

Cheers,

Ken
