Before Summer Camp

Shoes!

Please make sure you have the below footwear for summer camp:

  1. Your hiking boots - preferably waterproof (you can get a spray on treatment for that if they did not come that way).

  2. A pair of sneakers or moccasins or leather "boat shoes" for wearing around camp.

  3. An old pair of sneakers or genuine closed-toe boating shoes if you are doing any of the following: - trying the monkey bridge - any boating activity at the waterfront

These shoes can and will get wet in the lake (and may take a while to dry)

  1. Shower shoes - flip-flops you'll wear in the shower house. You can wear Crocs ONLY for shower time. Outside of that time, Crocs are not allowed.

Summer Camp Medications - PLEASE READ

Any prescription medications that you put on your camp forms (NOT the troop "Over the Counter" form) will need to be turned into the Health Lodge on our first day of camp (Sunday). Keep these medications with you in your day pack in the original packaging with label so that you can hand these in to the camp. It will be YOUR responsibility to know when you need to go to the Health Lodge to take these medications. When you go, you must take a buddy with you (no scout goes anywhere alone).


If you have an "Over the Counter" (OTC) medication that you take "as needed" (like Zyrtec), you should have listed that on the troop OTC Medication Form. You will hand those those medications in on Sunday morning to Mr. Mendoza. They should be in the original packaging, with instructions, and with the scout's name on it. We…
