Steve was born in NYC, spent his youth in growing up in Jackson Heights, NY. He attended Holy Cross High School, St. Johns University and The American Academy- McAllister Institute of Funeral Service where he received his degree in Mortuary Science.

He obtained his funeral director license in New York in 1991 and his New Jersey license in 2009. Steve has served as a member of DMORT, the Department of Health and Human Services-Division of the National Disaster Medical Services that renders aid and support to those affected by natural disasters.

He is an active member in many Irish organizations in New York and New Jersey as well Msgr. Burke 5051 Knights of Columbus and a 4th Degree Knight of Msgr. Charles G. Mc Corristin Assembly 1289. Steve serves as a Commissioner on The River Edge Recreation Committee and is a member of many National and International Funeral Service Organizations and the NYS Continuing Education Committee.

Steve had served as an Assistant Cub Master & Pack Committee Chair of Pack 95 Cub Scouts, River Edge, NJ. He is an Assistant Scout Master, as well as an Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, Public Health, Scholarship & Genealogy Merit Badge Counselor for River Edge Troop 184 Boy Scouts where his sons are scouts.
